The Public Works crew works diligently to maintain and improve Port Allegany’s roads, properties, and buildings.
A few of the Public Work Crews Duties include:
- Plowing snow and spreading salt during the winter
- Street sweeping
- Mowing and weed eating grounds
- Maintaining Borough buildings
- Maintaining and repairing Borough vehicles and equipment
- Picking up brush and leaves
- Maintaining and repairing the storm water ditches and sluices
- Changing the banners in downtown Port Allegany(Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter)
- Responding to customer issues
- Responding to Borough Work Orders
- Operating, maintaining and repairing the Water and Sewer Systems
